The Southern Route of the 34th annual Run for the Wall motorcycle ride will make a stop at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Big Spring on Saturday at approximately 9 a.m. The riders will be traveling from Midland to their next stop in Colorado City.

Run for the Wall is an organized cross-country motorcycle ride to honor veterans, their families, and friends, and to raise awareness of Prisoners of War (POW) and those Missing in Action (MIA). The 10-day ride starts in Ontario, California, and ends at the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, DC. Some riders continue for an additional three days to the Middle East Conflicts Wall in Marseilles, Illinois.

Participation is open to all ages, and you do not need to be a veteran to join.

The mission is to promote healing among all veterans and their families and friends, call for an accounting of all POW/MIA, honor those Killed in Action (KIA) from all wars, and support military personnel worldwide.
